Condo Inspiration

Lately I have been saving pictures of home decor inspiration since my boyfriend and I bought a condo late last year. We wont be getting the condo until this fall at the earliest. I'm hoping they are right on schedule and have the building completed when they say they should be finished. In about 4 months we get to meet with the interior designer to pick out our finishes. I really love the idea of white marble in the kitchen, but this seems less than practical since I like to cook (especially Italian) and will ruin it. Granite comes standard for our condo, so Im thinking maybe Ill get black counters with white cupboards.. or even grey counters. I want my condo to be minimalists and simple.. monochromatic, with pops of color in the accessories. I love very fashion forward Interiors. I also want hardwood in the kitchen, very dark hardwood, which will be present throughout the whole condo. White or grey walls are my first choice for paint with a very regal looking wainscoting in the living room continuing down the hall towards the bedroom and den.

Here are some of the pictures I have saved of Interior Inspiration :) FYI None of these pictures belong to me.

On Topic: Rain Boots

Today I went to the mall and I picked myself up some Burberry rain boots.  I've been wanting a pair of rain boots for awhile, but couldn't decide on the kind I wanted. Hunter Vs Burberry. I obviously went for the Burberry ones because the Hunter ones I liked were only 40$ less than the Burberry ones. The boots I purchased are beautiful with a ridding style kind of look. They have a large leather strap that wraps around the upper part of the boot and hangs down the side. The Inside is lined with plaid canvas and there's a leather insole for extra comfort. I ended up purchasing them in a size 8US, but tried on a 9 as well because usually I'm an 8.5.  I never wear heavy socks so the 8 felt like a better fit. All in all I'm pretty impressed with these boots so far even though they are kind of difficult to get off, but after wear I feel like this will become easier.

Heres some of my favorite rain boot styles, enjoy :) The first pair are the ones I purchased today!

I really love how these boots look like leather in person. The strap around the top give them a little something extra. $295

Again these Burberry boots have leather around the top with buckles, making them much more than just rain boots. $395

These burberry boots have a large leather brown band around the top, which is right on trend right now.
$415
The basic, original Hunter boots. Basic and Beautiful. $125

The Hunter regent Carlyle boots were the other boots I was trying to choose from. I really like the Hunter Crest on the side to give them a more 'royal' look. $260

These ones are Hunter Boots by Jimmy Choo. I really like the Crocodile Print to give them a fashionable, edgy kind of look.

It was really funny when I bought my boots because the lady at the Burberry store gave me a gigantic bag and it looked like I bought a whole lot. When I got home my boyfriend was already at my place studying for his exams next week. (He's in school to be a chiropractor) When I walked in, he was like "What did you buy now, a trench coat?"  Um no.., but good idea! Maybe next time haha :)

December 2011 Purchases

Equipment Blouse- Signature In Nude Satin/Silk $235

Equipment Deans List Blouse In Peacoat $187

Equipment Signature Blouse in Medieval Blue $235

J Crew Hacking Jacket $266 (On Sale)

Michael Michael Kors Jessie Boots $137 (On Sale)

Soo Originally I was going to take pictures of the clothing I had gotten, but the pictures just didn't turn out. These are all the items I purchased myself during The Christmas Season, plus two pairs of skinny jeans from Levis, In black and a dark wash blue. The J Crew Blazer was actually a gift from my amazing boyfriend :) Its a beautiful thick wool blazer that looks very expensive and of good quality. I fell in love with this jacket right away when I saw it,  so my boyfriend snuck off while my sister and I were in Holt Renfrew and went and got it for me. How great is he? :) lol

The Equipment Blouses are a staple in my wardrobe. I wear them all the time mixing them with blazers, jackets and wearing them just on there own. I already own a few of them and couldn't resist when the satin/silk one i'd been eyeing went on sale! I feel like every fashion lover should have atleast 2 of them hanging in there closet. They are a true classic and sooo soft!

This beautiful jacket by IRO is definitely the statement piece for any outfit. I love the Chain Detailing On the shoulders, which gives it a rocker, biker kind of edge. I would definitely pair this jacket with Black skinnies with an oversized tank underneath. I would wear either a black leather high heel boot or black platform heels to complete the look. A handbag thats a bit edgy like the Balenciaga First or Alexander Wang Rocco works perfectly for this outfit!
